December is a Great Time to Vacation in Atlantic Beach

December is a Great Time to Vacation in Atlantic Beach

It’s hard to believe that the holidays are here and soon it will be Christmas and New Year’s. This year instead of staying at home for the holidays, take a vacation to Atlantic Beach. Staying in one of our Atlantic Beach rentals and your family will be close to many of the activities happening around town. Let’s look at a few of the things that you and the family can do while on vacation in December.

13th Annual Light Up the Night Christmas Parade

December is a Great Time to Vacation in Atlantic Beach

Are you looking forward to spending the holidays here at the beach but not sure what to do? Join in the 13th Annual Light Up the Night Christmas Parade happening on December 6th in Atlantic Beach. This year will be a little different and yet just as exciting as the previous years. The parade will feature several new parade floats and even a new route too. Be ready to kick off the holiday season with the family while sitting and watching the parade at 6:00 pm. After the parade you will be able to shop a little, enjoy hot chocolate and cookies, and live carolers. Don’t miss this fun event happening right here in Atlantic Beach with the family!

Christmas Candlelight Tour

If you have never been to Beaufort during the holiday season, then you are missing out on some beautiful decorations. This year the 12th Annual Christmas Candlelight Tour will be happening on December 14th  at 5:00 pm and it’s one you won’t want to miss. They will be showcasing some of Beaufort’s inns, bed & breakfasts and private homes. The town of Beaufort is beautiful anytime of the year you visit but the holidays happens to be one of the best times to visit. We promise you that you will never get tired of walking around historic Beaufort and take in the sights and smells you will experience.

Shopping at the Holiday Market

December is a Great Time to Vacation in Atlantic Beach

If you haven’t purchased all of your gifts when you visit us in Atlantic Beach, then you will want to check out the Olde Fashioned Holiday Market. This is being held at the Olde Beaufort Farmers Market on Saturday, December 21st from 4:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Here you will be able to celebrate the holiday by shopping from many local farmers, artists and bakers. Many of the items available will be homemade and perfect for that hard to shop for family member. You will also be able to enjoy some local food and Santa will even be there. What a great time to spend the evening with the family before Christmas is here.

There are many other things that will be happening during the month of December, but these are the few things we wanted to share with you. If you haven’t booked your Atlantic Beach rental yet, now is the time. We hope to see you and your family this holiday season as you celebrate together as a family!

How to Make Your Dad Feel Special This Father’s Day

It won’t be long before Father’s Day is here — less than two weeks away! If you’re wondering how to celebrate Father’s Day this year we have some suggestions to make your dad feel extra special on his day.

How to Treat Your Dad Special This Father's Day
Why not splurge this year and show your father how much you appreciate all he’s done for you. Treat him to a comfortable and relaxing stay in one of our Atlantic Beach vacation rentals. He’ll feel like a king in any of our furnished rentals with fully equipped kitchens and laundry.

Picture him lounging by the pool or peacefully lounging by the ocean on the special day just for him. Take a walk along the beachfront and just enjoy the time spent with your father. Time spent together is such a priceless gift you have to give, one that any parent would treasure, we’re sure.

How to Treat Your Dad Special This Father's Day
A vacation in one of our Atlantic Beach vacation rentals makes a delightful Father’s Day gift. Does he really need another dress shirt or matching tie, funny Tee shirt or a golf outing? Ok, he might light that last one but there’s nothing that says you can’t do that, too, while you’re here!

Most important of all is to remember, no matter what you do or where you go with your dad, this is a great opportunity for you to connect with him on a personal level. Sometimes that’s as easy as sitting and talking one-on-one and letting him know that he matters to you. Other times, it’s just giving him some time out of your busy schedule to be with him. Once upon a time he was one of the two most important people in your life. Take this day to let him know you have not forgotten. Happy Father’s Day!
