Celebrate the 4th of July on the Crystal Coast

Are you coming to Atlantic Beach this week to celebrate the 4th of July with your family? If the answer is yes, then we at Atlantic Beach Realty can tell you about several local events. Many families love to come to the Atlantic Beach area to celebrate this festive holiday. Let’s look below at what some of the fun events that you and the family can take advantage of.

Free Summer Movie

Celebrate the 4th of July on the Crystal Coast

Come to nearby town, Emerald Isle to the Emerald Plantation Cinemas where your family can watch “Peter Rabbit” for free. This movie begins at 10:30 am and while the movie is free, you will have to purchase drinks and popcorn to go along with the movie. What a wonderful, fun thing to do with the kids, especially if they are younger.

Downtown Morehead City 4th of July Celebration

If you have never been to the beach during the 4th of July, then you have been missing out on this fun event. Come to Jaycee Park from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm to see The Main Event Band. Dance and sing your hearts out as you jam to many different genres of music. At 9:00 pm the music will fade and soon you will be able to watch the Morehead City Fireworks display in the air. What a fun event for all ages and can be the highlight of your trip!

Fireworks Cruise

Celebrate the 4th of July on the Crystal Coast

If you are wanting to try something a little different this year, then head over to the waterfront of Morehead City. Here you and your family can get a different kind of view of the fireworks from aboard a scenic cruise. Skip the battle of finding the perfect spot to watch the fireworks with the family and just enjoy them from the boat. What a memorable trip to the beach this could be.

Fireworks from the Beach

Head to the Circle in Atlantic Beach to be able to get your spot for the fireworks. You can view the fireworks from the beach and it’s like nothing you’ve ever seen before. And just before the fireworks extravaganza you can hear Robert McDuffy perform. The fireworks show will begin around 9:00 pm so don’t miss out on this fun!

There are many other events happening around Atlantic Beach for the 4th of July, but these are the ones we wanted to share with you. If you still haven’t made your holiday plans and reservations, give us a call today. We hope that you and your family have a wonderful and safe holiday!

The 2018 North Carolina Seafood Festival (Updated)

The North Carolina Seafood Festival for 2018 has been cancelled

Unfortunately, the 32 Annual seafood festival has been cancelled due to the aftermath of Hurricane Florence. All is not lost as our community rebuilds and recovers from the storm.

Hurricane Relief Event Planned Instead

Along with great plans for the 2019 North Carolina Seafood Festival, this year the NCSF board is planning a hurricane relief event scheduled for November 3rd, 2018. This will be a one day event to benefit Carteret County and neighboring communities.

Stay up to date by visiting the NCSF facebook page. A facebook live video is planned for Tuesday, October 9th, at 1pm. This should provide more information on the planned relief event.

For the official statement from the NCSF here a link to their page:

We hope everyone is doing well, and pulling together to recover from the storm. We hope to provide you more beach memories for years to come.
